We would love to get the newsletter! We've been praying for your family for a while now. It's so exciting to watch as God expands the Pell family. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Perhaps our journey will look a bit like yours someday.

Financial Partner

As many of you know, the cost of adoption is very high and will be impossible for us to complete without humbly asking for help. We have partnered with the Abba Fund to allow for tax deductible donations to help bring our child home. If you would like to help us in this way, please click on the link above. A donation can be made with a check or credit card*. If you choose to contibute by credit card please indicate "PELL FAMILY FUND" when it asks for "Partnership Fund Designation". If you send a check, you can send the check to us and we will make sure it gets where it needs to go. Quick Status

January 15th - Arrive back and are a family of four
January 11th - Embassy Date
January 10th - Meet our baby boy
January 8th - Leave for Ethiopia
December 22nd - Travel Dates Confirmed for Leaving January 8th
December 9th - Third Court Date Scheduled, told we passed on the 9th
November 26th - Rescheduled Court Date, Rescheduled Again
November 5th - Court date...Told we Passed on the 5th, told we were rescheduled to Nov 26th on the 12th
October 21st - Received notice of court date of November 5th
August 11th - Referral of our precious baby boy (1 month old)
August 6th - Officially Number 1 on the referral list for a boy and 21 for a girl
July 10th - Officially Number 2 on the referral list for a boy and 20 for a girl
June 12th - Received Favorable Determination Letter
June 8th - Officially Number 8 on the referral list for a boy and 31 for a girl
May 15th - Officially Number 10 on the referral list for a boy and 32 for a girl
April 23rd - Dossier approved by AGCI
April 20th - Final Homestudy received
March 13th - Turned in last piece of homestudy paperwork. Waiting on Homestudy to be finalized
February 19th - Last visit from social worker. Received draft of home study
February 2nd 2009 - Heard from our social worker and set up our home study visits for the 5th, 6th and 9th
January 29th 2009 - Signed contracts with AGCI
January 2009 - Turned in our application with All God's Children International and was accepted into the Ethiopia program
January 2009 - Turned in our first big packet of paperwork to begin our homestudy with CAS
November - December 2008 Came to the conclusion that Belize was not where we would find our next child and began to look seriously at Ethiopia.
October 2008 - Turned in our application to CAS and received our homestudy packet
September 2008 Contacted Carolina Adoption Service to complete our Home Study
September 2008 Looked in adopting from Belize through Private means
July 2008 Met with Social worker regarding Domestic Adoption
June 2008 Decided to Adopt our Next Child
